Duties and Requirements
Applicants must have a minimum requirement of Basic literacy and numeracy
Must must have AET certificate or Grade 10
Candidate must have experience in Large Scale Hospital Catering.
Appropriate experience of therapeutic diets ,food groups, preparation and cooking methods and quality and portion control of food according to standardized recipes.
Appropriate experience of the Cook -Chilli System.
Suitable experience with patient’s services.

Intensive requirements of the job:
Capacity to work shifts including weekends and public holidays.
Applicant must be ready to enter hospital wards and serve patients.
Suitable to do work of physical natures.
Knowledge and Skills
Suitable to maintain good communication skills.
Candidate must be able to communicate at least two of the three official languages of Western Cape.
Proof of attendance of a Kitchen Hygine ,Kitchen Cleaner or an Assistant Chefs ,will be ab added advantage.
Suitable to work as a team work and under pressure.
Duties
Make use of the Cook Chilli System,prepare, cook,plate,regenerate, serve meals and beverages for the patients in accordance with the PAWC Food Policy.
Follow standardized PAWC Receipts and Menus .
Clean and maintain the kitchen area and equipment as well as adhere to health and safety regulations.
Good communication with patients and kitchen staff as well give updates about problems and make recommendations to Food Service Supervisor.
Dress according to Departmental specifications and follow Hospital/PAWC
Policy .

Applicant to obtain Z83 form from any Government department
