The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
•Follow up and collect all outstanding monies from current and ex-tenants who are in arrears for rental payment regularly

•Negotiate on payment arrangements
•Provide statements to relevant parties when required
•View banking unallocated and suspense accounts for payments received with incorrect reference numbers and send correct information to banking
•Carry out recons on outstanding tenant queries
•Update Tenant Reports on Budget Packs
•Provide feedback on arrears on a monthly period
•Ensure that all files handed over to the Legal Department are accurate and complete
•Reconcile tenant accounts & ensure proper feedback is provided including credit balances
•Send out the appropriate arrears letters
•Prepare adverse listings on credit bureaus in respect of defaulting tenants
•Prepare bad write offs per company policy and department procedure
•Update the notes regularly on the arrears report and system
•Ensure that all instructions are issued timeously where adjustments to tenant accounts are made
•Update and correct tenant information as required
•Attend the meetings with the Credit Control Manager as and when required
•Attend to tenant cases including CRM cases timeously & effectively
•Communicate on a regular basis with the Property Manager regarding problematic tenants

Qualifications:
The Successful candidate should possess a Matric qualification with Accounting as a subject and a minimum of 2 – 3 years relevant experience:
•Related Financial qualification preferred
•Basic knowledge of MDA preferred
•Basic Accounting knowledge
•Understanding of reconciliation
•MS Office:
-MS Word – Basic
-MS Excel – Basic
-MS Outlook – Basic
•Good communication skills
•Good telephone etiquette
•Display some knowledge of the Consumer Protection Act, Acts related to Residential Property

The successful candidate is expected to answer to the following:
•Ability to operate under pressure, must be energetic, fast an accurate worker who is results and deadline driven
•Good communication skills
•Good people skills, assertiveness and attention to detail

•Business writing skills as well as good telephone etiquette
•Be customer centric
•Be flexible and move between portfolios as and when required
