About PRASA: PRASA is a leading public transportation agency in South Africa, responsible for managing and operating passenger rail services. As part of its ongoing efforts to drive performance and innovation, PRASA is looking to appoint a qualified and visionary leader to head its Technical division.
Role and Responsibilities: As the CEO of PRASA Technical, your mission will be to lead and direct the operations of the division, overseeing PRASA Group’s capital projects. You will be responsible for formulating and implementing a strategic vision for PRASA Technical, ensuring efficient management of resources, and providing direction and oversight to the division’s operations.
Additionally, you will play a crucial role in corporate governance, compliance, and risk management within the division.
Key Requirements: To be eligible for this position, you must have a Master’s degree in Engineering and be registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa as a Professional Engineer/Technologist.
Demonstrated experience in the Engineering/Technical field, with at least 5 years in an executive management role, is essential.
The ideal candidate will possess strong business acumen and a deep understanding of relevant legislation, finance, human resources, supply chain, and contract management.
